Terra Classic LUNC burn activity has struggled to maintain a 100 million LUNC daily burn level, with no single day reaching that mark from October 2 through October 6.
The daily burn figures show a clear slowdown after October 1. While October 1 recorded a large burn transaction, most of that figure came from Binance. Excluding Binance’s 355.89 million LUNC burn, the remaining burn activity on October 1 was only around 64 million LUNC.
From October 2 onward, the daily burn remained below 100 million LUNC for five consecutive days.
LUNC Daily Burn From October 2 to October 6
The following figures show the daily burn recorded during the period.
| Date | Daily Burn |
|---|---|
| October 2 | 63,520,446 LUNC |
| October 3 | 56,585,817 LUNC |
| October 4 | 48,117,172 LUNC |
| October 5 | 49,089,190 LUNC |
| October 6 | 57,000,598 LUNC |
Each of these five days recorded less than 100 million LUNC burned.
October 2 recorded the highest daily burn during the five day period at 63.52 million LUNC. However, this was still about 36.48 million LUNC below the 100 million daily level.
The daily burn then declined further on October 3, reaching 56.59 million LUNC.
On October 4, the figure dropped to 48.12 million LUNC, making it the lowest daily burn during the five day period.
October 5 recorded a slightly higher daily burn of 49.09 million LUNC, but the increase was not enough to bring daily activity close to the 100 million level.
On October 6, the daily burn increased again to approximately 57 million LUNC. Despite the improvement, it remained well below 100 million LUNC.
October 1 Also Relied on a Major Binance Burn
The situation becomes more notable when looking at October 1.
Terra Classic recorded a total burn of 419,913,510 LUNC on October 1. However, Binance accounted for 355,886,554 LUNC of that amount through its September trading fee burn.
If the Binance burn is excluded, approximately 64 million LUNC was burned through the remaining activity on October 1.
This means the daily burn level outside the Binance transaction was also below 100 million LUNC.
The distinction is important because a single large burn transaction can significantly increase the daily figure without necessarily representing the normal level of daily burn activity across the Terra Classic ecosystem.
Five Consecutive Days Below 100 Million LUNC
From October 2 through October 6, every individual day remained below 100 million LUNC burned.
The pattern was:
- October 2: 63.52 million LUNC
- October 3: 56.59 million LUNC
- October 4: 48.12 million LUNC
- October 5: 49.09 million LUNC
- October 6: 57.00 million LUNC
The figures show that the challenge is not simply that the combined burn over several days is below a particular target. Instead, the key point is that each individual day failed to reach 100 million LUNC burned.
This provides a clearer picture of the current daily burn pace.
What Does This Mean for LUNC Burn Activity?
LUNC burns permanently reduce the circulating supply of Terra Classic. However, the impact depends heavily on the amount burned over time.
A daily burn level of 100 million LUNC would represent a significantly higher pace than the figures recorded between October 2 and October 6.
For example, October 4 recorded approximately 48.12 million LUNC burned, less than half of the 100 million target. October 5 was also below half of that level.
The recent figures therefore show that reaching and maintaining 100 million LUNC in daily burn activity remains difficult without larger individual burns or stronger burn activity across the ecosystem.
Total Burn During the Six Day Period
From October 1 through October 6, the reported daily burns totaled 694,226,733 LUNC.
However, this total should not be interpreted as evidence that Terra Classic reached a 100 million LUNC daily burn level.
The daily figures tell a different story. October 1 was boosted by Binance’s 355,886,554 LUNC burn, while every day from October 2 through October 6 remained below 100 million LUNC.
This distinction is important when evaluating the actual daily burn pace.
LUNC Burn Activity Remains a Key Metric
The Terra Classic community continues to monitor LUNC burn activity because sustained burns can gradually reduce the token’s circulating supply.
At the same time, daily burn numbers can vary significantly depending on trading activity, on chain transactions, community initiatives, exchanges and other sources of burns.
The latest figures show that 100 million LUNC per day has not been reached on any day from October 2 through October 6.
For LUNC holders and the wider Terra Classic community, the next question is whether daily burn activity can increase again and eventually reach higher sustained levels.
